In this story, Randi has traveled to Sedona, Arizona in her quest to travel even farther, as in back in time to 1980 to find her dad. She's seeking answers as to why her dad left her when she was just a baby. Mitch Goodbody is a sexy but geeky fellow time traveler. Randi is drawn to him but suspects there's something he's hiding. And oh, boy, is she right. It isn't until Randi actually manages to make it back to 1980 and meets her dad that she begins to fully understand Mitch's mission.

Ms. Piper does an excellent job in detailing Randi's feelings and emotions in the present day. Her representation of Sedona through Randi's eyes was spot on and extremely entertaining. Then when the story moved back in time, she made that world come alive as well. I was rooting through the entire book for Randi and Mitch to get together in spite of the obstacles they faced, including a drug cartel, not so straight and narrow federal agents and a roller-skating granny.
I loved this book and would recommend it to everyone.

Ever wondered if you could go back in time when your parents were young at your current age. This book gives you a glimpse in to what very well may happen when she goes back in time to find her long lost family member. Throw in a hot FBI agent and you get a very steamy situation. Absolutely loved the events as they played out. Couldn't stop reading...finished in 2 days.
Loved the whole idea of the book. I couldn't put it down. Can't wait to read more of Autumn Piper's books

Trouble Under Venus is a fun, well written romance with just enough sci-fi to make an interesting plot. The characters are engaging and the story is full of intrigue.

Randi is embarking on the chance of a lifetime--traveling back in time to meet her biological father and try to determine why and how he disappeared. However, she must pay a price for this opportunity. Her marriage has failed over this issue, and her mother is skeptical and unsupportive of Randi's need to find her father. To top it all off, a super-sexy and mysterious [pretend] geologist infiltrates the training group and threatens to derail Randi as she gets closer and closer to her goal.
